Com a Copa América sediada no Brasil o momento é de recordar os bons momentos que membros das seleções participantes passaram nos clubes brasileiros. Nesta quinta-feira foi a vez do São Paulo celebrar a “visita” de seus ex-jogadores, que estiveram no CT da Barra Funda para os treinamentos da Seleção Brasileira, que joga neste sábado, contra o Peru, na Arena Corinthians.

Quatro ex-atletas do clube integram os convocados do Brasil para a competição: Miranda, Casemiro, David Neres e Militão, sendo que os três últimos foram formados nas categorias de base do Tricolor. Os quatro foram fotografados na chegada do grupo ao centro de treinamento e o registro foi divulgado nas redes sociais são-paulinas.

وكان من المقرر أن يلتقي منتخب المغرب مع ليبيريا، مساء اليوم السبت في الجولة الأخيرة من عمر مواجهات المجموعة الحادية عشر للتصفيات الإفريقية المؤهلة لكأس الأمم 2023.

وكانت تقارير أوضحت أن الاتحاد المغربي تقدم بطلب إلى الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم “كاف” من أجل تأجيل مباراة المغرب مع ليبيريا بسبب الزلزال الذي ضرب عدداً من المناطق في المغرب أمس الجمعة.. طالع التفاصيل

ووفقاً للموقع الرسمي للاتحاد المغربي قال: “على إثر الهزة الأرضية التي تعرضت لها بعض المناطق بالمغرب، تعلن الجامعة الملكية المغربية لكرة القدم، تأجيل المباراة التي كانت ستجمع مساء يوم السبت 9 سبتمبر 2023 بين المنتخب الوطني ونظيره الليبيري، برسم الجولة الأخيرة من التصفيات المؤهلة لنهائيات كأس إفريقيا للأمم – كوت ديفوار 2024؛ إلى وقت لاحق، وذلك بتوافق مع الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم”.

ووأضاف: “بعد هذا المصاب الجلل، تتقدم أسرة كرة القدم الوطنية، بأحر التعازي إلى أسر الضحايا، وتتمنى الشفاء العاجل لجميع المصابين”.

ويتواجد منتخب المغرب في المجموعة الحادية عشر للتصفيات الإفريقية مع منتخبين فقط “جنوب إفريقيا وليبيريا” بعد استبعاد كاف لمنتخب زيمبابوي من تصفيات كأس أمم إفريقيا.

Jonathan Trott continued his comeback with a low-key innings as Warwickshire were swept up in Worcestershire’s winning streak at the top of the NatWest T20 Blast North Group.The England batsman made 39 from 38 deliveries but managed only one boundary – a pick-up for six off Colin Munro from the 31st ball he faced – as the visitors struggled to put together a total of 133 for 8.That was nowhere good enough to test high-flying Worcestershire and they romped home by eight wickets, chalking up their sixth straight win while halting Warwickshire’s run of four consecutive victories.Although Richard Oliver fell in the first over, Daryl Mitchell posted his third half-century in four innings in the competition since moving up to open because of Moeen Ali’s selection for England.The Worcestershire captain needed treatment for a shoulder problem when he had made 31 but carried on to an unbeaten 62 with seven fours from 45 balls. Durante a conversa, o dirigente também falou sobre a negociação com a Globo a respeito dos direitos de transmissão das partidas do clube no Campeonato Brasileiro. O Verdão chegou a ter jogos fora da televisão até chegar a acordo com o grupo carioca no fim de maio, para estar na TV aberta e no pay per view.

Thirteen is thought to be the number of misfortune. For Hashim Amla and South Africa, it was the opposite until today.On the 13 occasions before this one when Amla has scored an ODI century, South Africa have emerged victorious. He recorded his 14th century – becoming the quickest to the mark – in Pallekele but the result was not in his team’s favour.Tillakaratne Dilshan’s enterprise in the first ten overs and wickets in the middle and latter portions of the South African chase bookended a the Sri Lankan comeback and ensured the three-match series will go to a decider on Saturday. Dilshan raced to a half-century in 40 balls to set Sri Lanka up for a competitive total and then ended South Africa’s biggest partnership – 75 between Amla and AB de Villiers – to clear Sri Lanka’s path to victory.South Africa were 101 for 2 in the 20th over when Dilshan lured de Villiers forward with a flighted delivery but the South African captain could not clear long-on. He was comfortably caught by the substitute fielder Thisara Perera well inside the field to spark a mini-collapse. South Africa lost five wickets for 26 runs with Dilshan claiming three of those and the gash was too big for even Amla, who scored his second successive ODI century, his third in four matches and his third on this tour so far, to mend.The visitors’ shortcomings were further highlighted by a much improved Lasith Malinga, who took wickets at the top and tail of the South African innings, and the loss Dale Steyn. The pace spearhead had bowled 2.2 overs when he was struck on the right thumb after Dilshan drilled the ball back at him. Steyn was taken for an x-ray which revealed severe bruising. Though there wasn’t a fracture, he will need to be monitored over the next few days to determine his availability for the rest of the tour.What will hearten South Africa is that Steyn batted for 35 minutes. He appeared in discomfort at times but scored 23 runs and starred in a 53-run stand with Amla that almost gave South Africa the unlikeliest of resurgences.Steyn batted with a resolve that was absent in some of his team-mates, most worryingly Jacques Kallis. After Quinton de Kock was bowled by Malinga from around the wicket, it was up to Kallis to build a foundation in the chase but he lasted only seven balls before being bounced out by the same bowler.Despite Steyn’s injury, Kallis did not bowl either, which has left his contribution in the series to just one run in two matches and he has been thoroughly outplayed by his competitor in the all-rounders department, Ryan McLaren. Although McLaren was dismissed cheaply, overcome by the pressure created by the spinners, he dismissed four batsmen at the death of the Sri Lankan innings, including three in one over, to curb their charge.Sri Lanka’s lower order implosion – five wickets for 11 runs – was sparked by Mathews edging McLaren to the keeper. The Sri Lankan captain had contributed to his team’s highest stand of the innings, 71-runs with Mahela Jayawardene which ensured the efforts of Dilshan upfront were not squandered.Jayawardene had battled through the stranglehold Imran Tahir and JP Duminy created and the trouble he had with legspinner’s googly. He eventually fell to a wrong ‘un but ushered Mathews through a tricky middle-overs period to help build a competitive total in the same mentoring way as Dilshan had handled his stand with Lahiru Thirimanne.By the time Thirimanne, who was promoted to No. 4 arrived at the crease, Dilshan already had a half-century, had single-handedly got Sri Lanka’s scoring rate above six an over before South Africa began to rein Sri Lanka in. Tahir, Duminy, McLaren and Morne Morkel conceded only 44 runs between the 10th and 19th overs. Thirimanne could only score slowly and eventually succumbed to frustration when he hit Tahir straight to mid-wicket but the 62 runs he put on with Dilshan were crucial to Sri Lanka’s chances.Soft dismissals aside, Sri Lanka batted with a good enough understanding of the surface to ensure they would not have to rue mistakes. Similarly, their lapses in the field which included two dropped catches – Amla on 67 and Miller on 0 – can be overlooked because they did not prove too costly even though Amla moved on to a three-figures. Instead they will focus on the advantage their spinners gave them. Dilshan, Sachitra Senanayake and Ajantha Mendis bowled 24.1 overs between them and their six wickets cost only 102 runs. The Sri Lankan performance was not perfect but it did not have to be.

Angelo Mathews has expressed his desire to build a team and hone a World Cup strategy ahead of the ODIs against Pakistan

Sri Lanka have 10 ODIs at home and seven matches in New Zealand before they play the World Cup curtain raiser on February 14. Angelo Mathews, Sri Lanka’s captain, has expressed his desire to build a team and hone a World Cup strategy starting from the ODI series against Pakistan.The tournament is now only six months away, but several spots in the Sri Lanka XI are still far from settled. Tillakaratne Dilshan is still firing at the top of the order, but neither Kusal Perera nor Upul Tharanga have made much of their chances to bat alongside him.Lower down, Lahiru Thirimanne has been excellent in the top three, but far less suited to batting at no. 5 or later. Mathews provides some solidity to Sri Lanka’s finishes at no. 6, but Thisara Perera, Ashan Priyanjan and Dinesh Chandimal are yet to cement their spots in the lower middle order.With Sachithra Senanayake out of the picture, at least temporarily, Sri Lanka have also made changes to their spin attack, with Suraj Randiv and Seekkuge Prasanna returning.All this will be playing on Mathews’ mind, as he looks to firm up his 15 for the World Cup.”I’ll try and use these 17 one-dayers to try and build up my team for the World Cup,” Mathews said. “I won’t be reluctant to make any changes. I won’t be reluctant to experiment things in these ODIs. I’ll try and keep it simple, but all in all I’ll try to look at a good 15 for the World Cup. I’ll try and give opportunities to the players we need to look at. But we need to play to win as well. It’s going to be a tough ask, but we’ll try and experiment a few things.”The experiments will begin in Hambantota, where Tharanga is the frontrunner to open with Dilshan, but Thirimanne could be an option as well, having opened with great success during Sri Lanka’s Asia Cup triumph this year.In the middle order, Chandimal is coming off a successful List A stretch with the A team, but he has strong competition in Priyanjan, who top scored in the tour-match against Pakistan on Wednesday, which the tourists lost. Mathews was typically tight-lipped on who would play on Saturday.”Chandimal is in good form, Ashan Priyanjan is in good form, and legspinner Sekkuge Prasanna has also performed well. The idea is that when you get to this 15, everyone should be ready to play. I think whoever plays will make the best use of it, but I can’t say for sure that Chandimal will play tomorrow.”Randiv’s exclusion from ODIs since 2011 is something of a mystery, given he averages a creditable 30.54 – which is comfortably better than Senanayake’s average, for instance, even if Senanayake did more bowling in the Powerplay. A naturally attacking spinner who gets the kind of bounce that may be helpful on Antipodean tracks, Randiv has won his way back to the national fray through sustained excellence in domestic cricket.”The pitch is a bit damp, so we can’t make a decision on our final XI for tomorrow,” Mathews said. “But Suraj has earned his place in the squad. He’s performed really well when given opportunities in the side games. He’s worked really hard to get here so I wish him all the best.”

وأضاف: “الفريق تعرض لضغط مباريات كبير في الفترة الماضية ولعب 3 لقاءات محلية وقارية في أقل من 10 أيام، واللاعبون بذلوا مجهودًا كبيرًا وحققوا الفوز الكبير والتأهل، وبات هناك تفكير حاليًا في الدوري والتجهيز بصورة أكبر لدور المجموعات من بطولة دوري الأبطال”.

وأوضح: “الصعود لدور المجموعات يضع على الفريق جهدًا مضاعفًا لأننا حاليًا نلعب على كل البطولات محليًا وقاريًا، ولابد من التركيز والتعامل مع اللقاءات بهدف الفوز بها جميعًا”.

وأكد: “كل اللاعبين سيحصلون على فترة راحة لمدة ثلاثة أيام، فهم كانوا يتدربون بشكل جيد وكانت هناك ضغوط”.

وأتم: “نريد أن نسير في طريقين بشكل مميز وهذا أمر صعب، أي مباراة نخوضها نريد تحقيق الفوز وننافس في كل البطولات”.
