For Australia, the series is lost, the intensity is not what it was and expectations could not be much lower. Shane Watson’s bountiful form has come far too late to challenge the outcome of the series, but there was no denying the gentle brutality of his strokeplay as he took the highest score of his Test career off a reshaped and none-too-convincing England attack in the final Test at The Oval.Watson’s move to No. 3 had not delighted all observers but, at the end of a series in which Australia’s pick-and-mix batting order has left them 3-0 down, he produced the most domineering top-order batting of the summer. There were no devils in the situation or in a depressingly slow Oval pitch and Watson responded to an unpressurised situation by registering only his third hundred in 46 Tests in a manner which simultaneously stated his ability and questioned his record.When he even reviewed successfully after being adjudged lbw to Chris Woakes on 166 eight overs from the close, it looked as if he was fated to survive into the second morning. Woakes thought he had achieved his first Test wicket when he defeated Watson’s pull shot but the decision of umpire Kumar Dharmasena was reversed when replays showed the ball was too high.But Stuart Broad, who had felled Watson with a well-directed short ball on 91 and bowled defiantly throughout, removed him three overs before the close. Watson’s full-blooded pull at Broad was expertly intercepted by a diving Kevin Pietersen at deep backward square, moved there from long leg by his captain, Alastair Cook, a few minutes before.Watson never quite discovered the same mastery after Broad struck him behind the ear, a sickening blow which brought him to his knees for a prolonged period and caused brief alarm – and left him munching pain-killing tablets – but he summoned the resolution that has not always been a feature of his Test career.It was his pre-lunch assault that set the tone. England fielded two Ashes debutants in Woakes and Simon Kerrigan and Watson feasted upon their vulnerability, amassing 80 from 77 balls by lunch as between them as the new pair leaked 58 runs in seven overs.If Woakes’ contribution was just about adequate, Kerrigan, the Lancashire left-arm spinner called up after Monty Panesar became persona non grata, had a humbling experience. As his confidence deserted him and full tosses vied for attention with a liberal supply of long hops, the tacit invitation to Panesar to find the sort of late-season form to regain his place as England’s back-up spinner could not have been clearer.Kerrigan had been treated dismissively by Watson in the Lions match against Northamptonshire last week and, as he won his first Test cap in his 50th first-class match, nothing had changed. He conceded 28 in his first two overs with Watson helping himself to six boundaries. The first four ball, a low full toss, revealed his uncertainty and he repeatedly dropped short in his second over as Watson overawed him.If the assault subsided, anxiety never left him. He returned for two distinctly nervy overs before tea, his faltering belief exaggerating an unanimated approach to the crease, and although he improved a little after the interval, his lack of conviction was such that every dot ball became a building brick in a desperate battle for survival. It was one of the most nervous England debuts for many years.The series was already settled and as much as Cook had spoken of their desire to set new standards by winning an Ashes series 4-0, the sense of experimentation was apparent. The inclusion of Woakes and Kerrigan also markedly changed the balance of the side as England switched from a four-man attack to five and fielded two spinners in a home Test for the first time since the Ashes Test against Australia in Cardiff four years ago.Such a balance was forced upon England by a slow, dry pitch, the sort of conditions in which England have repeatedly dominated in this sun-drenched summer, but as Watson dismissed the debutants from his presence, the five-man attack seemed by mid-afternoon to have been reduced to three as Cook retreated to his trusted trio of Broad, James Anderson and Graeme Swann.Broad apart, only in the first hour did England possess much threat. There was a hint of swing for the new ball and even a semblance of turn for Swann, but Watson bestrode the morning. It was a powerful display of Test batting, but this was not high-quality, tension-ridden Ashes cricket.Broad, at least, is finishing the series full of vigour, but after his 11 wickets in the previous Test, conditions were no longer as encouraging. That reality dawned in his first over when he found the edge of Rogers’ bat but the ball died well short of Cook at first slip. At the fag-end of the day, though, his threat remained and he was inches away from bowling Steven Smith, whose lofted blows had been a feature of his unbeaten 66.England, who dismissed David Warner in the fifth over of the day – a simple catch for the wicketkeeper, Matt Prior, as he fenced at Anderson – followed up with the wickets of Chris Rogers and Michael Clarke in the middle session. Rogers’ laborious stay – 23 from 100 balls – ended when he nicked Swann to first slip, so ending a lengthy stalemate between the pair. Anderson accounted for Clarke, bringing one back to bowl him off the top of his pad to pass Bob Willis and go second in England’s all-time list of Test wicket-takers.Broad’s combative post-lunch spell disturbed Australia’s equilibrium. Watson was felled and, not for the first time in this series, Clarke also seemed to have problems picking up Broad’s short ball. If Anderson dismissed Clarke, Broad deserved an assist.It was a careful cover drive off Anderson which brought Watson his first hundred since he took a century off India in Mohali in 2010, and the third Australian hundred of the series to follow those made by Clarke and Rogers. He was dropped on 104 off Anderson at first slip, an inviting chance, knee high to Cook’s right, off the shoulder of the bat.

وأوضح موقع “سبورت 24” السعودي وفق مصادره الخاصة، أن نادي الخليج بدأ محادثات جادة مع نادي دينامو بوخارست الروماني الذي يتعاقد معه علي زين من أجل ضمه.

وأوضح الموقع أن مفاوضات مسؤولي نادي الخليج آلت إلى موافقة علي زين، فيما يتبقى موافقة ناديه الحالي.

وكان علي زين الذي بزغ نجمه في النادي الأهلي، قد خاض تجربة احتراف ضمن صفوف فريق برشلونة الإسباني، قبل أن ينتقل إلى دينامو بوخارست الروماني في يونيو 2022.

وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن النادي الأهلي قد نجح في الحصول على خدمات علي زين خلال الفترة الماضية على سبيل الإعارة، قبل أن يتعرض للإصابة خلال مشاركته ببطولة السوبر الإفريقي.

أعلن فرج عامر رئيس نادي سموحة، عن خطته في تعاقدات الموسم الكروي الجديد، مشددًا على رغبته في حسم صفقتين من الأهلي.

وقال فرج عامر في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر قناة “المحور”: “أنقذت ما يمكن إنقاذه في نادي سموحة، جئت والفريق في المركز السادس عشر”.

Vikram Solanki’s second hundred for Surrey is the first in the Championship by any of the county’s batsmen since Ricky Ponting’s 169 against Nottinghamshire at The Oval in July.Unless Rory Burns or Steven Davies has an exceptionally good match at Derby next week, when Surrey’s return to Division Two will almost certainly be confirmed, Solanki is likely to be the only batsman close to 1,000 first-class runs.His brilliant 162, of which 106 runs came in boundaries, confirmed, even at 37, that the ability to play a high-class innings is still with him. Amid all the criticisms aimed in Surrey’s direction in the analysis of their current state, his signing did not escape attention. It was was by some commentators to represent the wrong approach, a player close to the end of his career signed on a expensive contract, barring the way, it was supposed, of some home-grown talent with much more cricket ahead of him.”People are entirely entitled to their opinion,” he said. “I pride myself at trying to work as hard as I can at my game and trying to do my best for the team I’m involved with. Surrey’s collective batting malaise has been such that before this match they had not managed maximum batting points once. Warwickshire say that ankle soreness reported by fast bowler Boyd Rankin when he returned from England duty in the one-day series against Australia is not thought to be a symptom of a serious problem, even though he was not fit enough to play in this game.

Rankin, who represented Ireland in two World Cups, switched allegiance to England this summer and emerged with credit from the series against Australia, in which he troubled the batsmen with his pace and bounce and took five wickets at 21.20. He is thought to a contender for a place in the Ashes squad due to be named next week.

If there was much wrong about what he was doing, his removal has clearly not proved to be the solution. How different might the season have been, one can speculate, had Graeme Smith not suffered his season-ending injury after only two matches as captain, denying Adams the experience and stature on the field he hoped would bring unity and purpose to an undeniably talented group of players.Their performance so far in this match, against the side that won the title last year, only underlines the point. Hashim Amla’s 77 might be seen as counting for little, in that he has appeared only as a desperate last throw of the dice, but Davies showed his quality too with his second hundred of the season. Thanks to his partnership with Solanki, which added 182 in 40.3 overs, the 400 was reached in the 98th over.Solanki’s 162, which began with Surrey 18 for 2 in the 11th over, ended in the 93rd, when he attempted to guide a ball from Chris Woakes towards the third-man boundary and instead deflected it into his stumps via a bottom edge. He had hit 25 fours and one six, over long-off, against the spinner, Jeetan Patel.Davies, similarly displaying a touch of class not revealed often enough this year, completed his second hundred of the season before pulling a ball from Maurice Chambers to the midwicket boundary, where Ateeq Javid took the catch. Amla had become a third victim of the innings for Keith Barker when he drove loosely amid the general desire for quick runs and was caught at slip.

O jogo

A primeira etapa iniciou de maneira equilibrada. Nos primeiros 30 minutos, muita correria e pouca criatividade nos dois lados. O lance mais empolgante do Grêmio foi com Vizeu, que recebeu na área e carimbou o zagueiro.

A primeira chegada do time da casa veio na bola área. Germano bateu escanteio no veneno e Breno precisou se esticar todo para evitar o gol.

Após a ‘preguiça’, o Tricolor acelerou o ritmo. O volante Thaciano começou a ganhar destaque e criou duas boas chances. Na primeira cabeceou para fora. Na segunda, o meio-campista encheu o pé que parou em Airton.

Nos minutos finais, a zaga gremista bateu cabeça e a bola ficou com Léo Bahia. O atacante invadiu a área, driblou o goleiro e bateu. Marcelo Oliveira se recuperou e salvou o Tricolor.

No segundo tempo o gol do Grêmio saiu logo de cara. Thaciano, o melhor em campo, roubou a bola na intermediária, deixou a zaga na saudade e bateu no canto de Airton.

O gol diminuiu o ímpeto do Pelotas, que não conseguia reagir. Por outro lado, o Tricolor controlava o jogo e pouco assustava Airton.

Na reta final o jogo abriu de vez. Aos 42, Jean Pyerre lançou Pepê, que foi cortado fora da área pelo goleiro Airton. Na sobra, Thaciano encobriu o goleiro, mas a bola saiu. A resposta do Pelotas veio dois minutos depois, com Léo Bahia, que soltou o pé de fora da área e assustou Breno.

Nos acréscimos, o Grêmio puxou o último contra-ataque com Jean Pyerre e Thonny Anderson invadiu a grande área para bater cruzado e dar números finais ao jogo.

Virat Kohli’s 52-ball 100 smashed the record for the fastest century by an Indian, and an explosive Shikhar Dhawan missed out on a century by five runs.India captain MS Dhoni said he had trusted his batsmen to achieve the huge target, and all he had asked was for them not to slog blindly.”Most of us guys have played a bit of international cricket, but they don’t have the experience of a Yuvraj Singh, who has played 250 or 260-odd ODIs,” Dhoni said. “So at times when you chase 360, what you want to do is go out there and be aggressive and go for the big shots, but it’s very important to not lose shape. When you are going over mid-off, it should look like you are going over mid-off, and not like slogging over midwicket. O procedimento ao qual o treinador Abel Braga foi submetido nesta sexta-feira foi realizado com sucesso no centro cirúrgico do Pró-Cardíaco, em Botafogo, Zona Sul do Rio de Janeiro. Após a ablação, feita por Eduardo Saad, o técnico permanecerá internado no hospital e tem previsão de alta para domingo.

A ablação estava marcada para às 17h, mas começou com atraso, por volta das 20h.

Após o mal-estar durante o jogo contra o Fluminense, na quarta-feira, Abel Braga recebeu o primeiro atendimento ainda no Maracanã e deixou o estádio de ambulância. Desde então, Abel Braga recebeu visitas de amigos e familiares e mostrou preocupação com a final de domingo, contra o Vasco, pela Taça Rio.

O desejo do treinador é estar no comando do time diante do Peñarol, do Uruguai, na quarta-feira. O duelo é válido pela fase de grupos da Libertadores.
